Community Advisory Council

LHSC is committed to information sharing, transparency and engagement with our communities.

The Community Advisory Council was established following a motion at the 2009 Annual General Meeting. The purpose of the council is:

To gain feedback and advice from community representatives on specific operational or strategic plans/initiatives
To provide a forum for LHSC to share information on operational or strategic plans/initiatives with community representatives
To assist LHSC in identifying needs in the community for acute hospital-based services
To act as an educational resource to both LHSC and the community it serves

The Community Advisory Council consists of members of what was previously known as corporate (life) members and community representatives.
