Brief Description:

This webinar covers AHA Guidelines update a it relates to Paramedic Practice.

Upon completion of this webinar you will be able to:

  • Recognize key issues and changes to the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • Provide background and rationale for updates/changes
  • Understand the role of dispatch in identification of cardiac arrest and delivery of dispatch assisted CPR
  • Understand the role of Naloxone in both respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Review new CPR metric guidelines
  • Gain an understanding of the evidence behind medications used during cardiac arrest

Paramedics are eligible to receive continuing medical education (CME) for reviewing our webinars. To receive CME, you must watch the webinar and complete the quiz available through the Paramedic Portal of Ontario.
