Primary Care Paramedics preparing to challenge the Advanced Assessment module of the PCP IV Autonomous program may find the following materials useful (while all paramedics could benefit from reviewing these materials, only those paramedics approved by their EMS service will be allowed to challenge the exam).  Paramedics may read the material in the resource manual, and evaluate their own understanding using the self-assessment quiz at the end of each chapter.  The power point files provide additional information that will benefit those writing the module exam.  

The education sub-committee of the Ontario Base Hospital Advisory Group is currently reviewing the materials and will be providing updated versions in the near future.  Should any information in either the resource manual or the power point slides conflict with our current Provincial ALS Patient Care Standards, be sure to follow the standards.  If you have any questions regarding these materials, please contact the Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital.
