Have you ever encountered a patient bleeding profusely from an extremity injury? Ever wondered what to do when direct pressure just won't stop the bleeding?

Upon watching this webinar, you should be able to:

• Review epidemiology of exsanguinating extremity injuries
• Understand the historical background of tourniquet use
• Describe the potential complications of tourniquet application
• Review relevant medical literature
• Review the BLS standards in Ontario regarding tourniquet use
