The Bear – Our Symbol

The Teddy Bear symbol, with its outstretched arms, symbolizes a sense of welcome, comfort and safety and is meant to convey the message that Children’s Hospital is a child-friendly and family-centred environment. The stylized bear design is clean and efficient - not cluttered by detail. The open and flowing lines give the symbol a positive flow of energy.

The Teddy Bear symbol that visually identifies Children’s Hospital is also the symbol that identifies Children’s Health Foundation, the fundraising partner of Children’s Hospital. The use of a common symbol reflects the symbiotic relationship between these two organizations.
