Fun day for sick kids at the annual Teddy Bear Picnic
(LONDON, Ontario) The media is invited to attend the 10th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario.
Once again, volunteers, community sponsors, and staff at the children's hospital have joined together to make this event possible. It is an opportunity for pediatric patients and their families to experience the hospital environment in a positive manner, by interacting with staff in a different, fun way. For those patients who are not able to make the trip outside, the picnic comes to them to make sure that everyone can enjoy the day.
Special guests this year include Dr. Beary Goode, Tony the Tiger, Scotty the Dinosaur, children's musical-comedy group "Tomato Soup", the Lancaster School of Irish Dance, and "Miss Terious" will be doing face painting for the children who are not able to come outside to the picnic.
