Landmark reached in hospital restructuring in London
(LONDON, Ontario) The Children's Hospital of Western Ontario and Grace Donnelly Women's Health Pavilion has reached a milestone in its construction. The media is invited to the rooftop of the 10-storey construction site at the Victoria Campus of London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) for the "topping off", which is the final concrete pouring of the building's exterior. The Honourable Chris Bentley, Ontario's Labour Minister and London West MPP will join Tony Dagnone, LHSC President and CEO for the "topping off" and a photo opportunity.
|Date:||Monday, June 21, 2004|
(Topping off to begin at 8:30 a.m. sharp on the rooftop)
|Location:||London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, 800 Commissioners Rd. E.
The media is asked to meet at 8:00 a.m.in the elevator lobby on the ground floor of the new parking garage that faces Wellington Road. Enter Victoria Campus off of Commissioners Rd E. and take the lower road that runs underneath the glass ramp. Follow that road to the very end, past the London Regional Cancer Centre, and turn right where you will find the parking garage. You can park in that parking garage.
NOTE: The media will need to walk up 15 flights of stairs to reach the roof. Safety boots are required and you will need to provide your own boots. Hard hats will be supplied.
Due to the fact that this is a construction site, the number of people allowed on the roof will be limited. Attendance will need to be confirmed before Monday. Please contact Debbie Neufert before Friday at 2:00 p.m. if you will be attending. Thank you.
