Road Safety Committee to take on the "A" word Challenging language: a grassroots initiative in injury prevention

LONDON, Ontario - On behalf of the London Road Safety Committee, the Trauma Program at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) invites media to attend the launch of NO More Accidents.

Meet key provincial experts who treat trauma patients and stakeholders who are instrumental in road safety and injury prevention education. Learn why they are calling for a virtual eradication of a simple word: "accident."

Each day, over 2,000 Ontarians are unintentionally injured. Most people consider injuries to be "accidents," something they cannot control or prevent, while statistics indicate that nine out of 10 incidents causing injury or death are predictable and therefore preventable.
