New program at Children's Hospital

MEDIA ADVISORY

For Immediate Release:

May 22, 2012

(LONDON, Ontario) – The Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, The Advocates’ Society and Pro Bono Law Ontario (PBLO) will launch a program that brings clinicians and lawyers together in pursuit of better child health outcomes.

At no cost to eligible patients or families, the PBLO at Children’s Hospital program adds legal expertise to the care team to address legal problems that can impact a critically or chronically ill child’s health or the family’s ability to care for that child.

For example, a child with chronic asthma keeps coming to the hospital with serious attacks because he lives in a moldy apartment and the landlord won’t make repairs.

Please join us for the program launch. Spokespeople and photo opportunities will be available for members of the media.
