(LONDON, Ontario) – The Victoria Family Medical Centre, based in the Hamilton road community, is celebrating 40 years of providing excellent and comprehensive patient care and health promotion/prevention. Established in 1970, the centre was one of the first health care programs in Canada to offer community-based, multidisciplinary, primary health care.
The Victoria Family Medical Centre is one of two family medicine sites of London Health Sciences Centre and is also affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Western Ontario. The centre also provides education and training in family medicine to future family physicians and other health care disciplines.
The media are invited to attend the centre’s anniversary celebration.
