Hats off to the London Community

5,000 purple hats knitted and sent to LHSC to raise awareness about Shaken Baby Syndrome

(LONDON, Ontario) – Denise Polgar, injury prevention specialist, LHSC, is overwhelmed with the response she has received since she asked knitters in London to send in purple hats to help raise awareness about Shaken Baby Syndrome.

The caps will be provided to parents and caregivers in support of The Period of PURPLE Crying® program, which provides important information to parents and caregivers regarding infant crying patterns and comforting strategies, and education on Shaken Baby Syndrome.
