On April 3, oncology nurses at London Health Sciences Centre staged a flash mob as part of a nationwide effort to recognize and celebrate the 9th annual Canadian oncology nursing day.
Entertaining crowds in the atriums of both the London Regional Cancer Program and zone B at Victoria Hospital, the participating nurses and their radiation therapy colleagues followed the surprise dance performance with a moment of silence dedicated to all those who have had their lives affected by cancer.
The cross-country flash mob was organized by the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology. The flash mob travelled across the nation from east to west, taking place at noon in each of the different time zones.
