We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Clinical Educator to join our Regional Renal Program team! Our preferred candidate holds a Bachelors Degree in Education or Nursing from an accredited university, 2 years recent clinical experience in a hemodialysis setting as well as 4 years of recent related clinical experience, and proficiency in working with the Fresenius 5008 dialysis machine.. An exciting opportunity exists for a creative, energetic individual with excellent communication and teaching ability in the role of Clinical Educator in Nursing Professional, Scholarly Practice with the assignment in the Regional Renal Program, drawing on solid clinical experience and foundational knowledge in the specialty of Nephrology. The Educator will work in partnership with various members of the leadership team across the renal program to promote excellence in Nephrology care. The primary focus of this position will be the provision of educational support to all staff members at University Hospital within the renal program.
Working in collaboration with other clinical educators within the Nephrology Program, key responsibilities of this role include: plan, facilitate, and evaluate the city-wide Nephrology orientation program and support integration of new staff members to the team. The incumbent will also plan, facilitate and evaluate ongoing learning opportunities to meet the educational needs of staff members across the career span; identify ongoing learning needs and facilitate professional development in interdisciplinary staff and provide leadership to the program in educational initiatives.
