To help educate patients and their families about the importance and benefits of mobilization while in hospital, the CAHO MOVE ON (Mobilization of Vulnerable Elders in Ontario ) ARTIC (Adopting Research to Improve Care) Program project team developed "Motions of Recovery," a public service announcement video funded by the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario (CAHO), in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
CAHO's ARTIC Program aims to accelerate and support the implementation of research evidence into practice across the health care system to drive quality care. The MOVE ON project, seeks to promote early mobilization and prevent functional decline in older patients admitted to hospital, helping to reduce the length of stay in hospitals.
