It must be summer if the teddy bears are having their picnic.
Volunteers, staff and physicians of Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre joined together on June 9 to host the 23rd Annual Teddy Bear Picnic. The atrium of Victoria Hospital was abuzz with laughter and song as over 100 children who are either inpatients or current outpatients of the hospital enjoyed an afternoon dedicated to fun activities with new friends.
In addition to a delicious barbeque, event included: Dr. Beary Goode, the Energizer Bunny, princesses, superheroes, racers and a racing truck from Delaware Speedway, musicians “The Tomato Soup Band,” a vintage fire truck, games, face painting and more.
The event was made possible through the generous support of the Children’s Health Foundation as well as many wonderful community sponsors.
