Torch travels for transplants

On Tuesday, February 12, 2008, the SOS 4000 campaign arrived in London. The torch run, using high school students to carry the torch, is making its way across Canada to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation. George Marcello, liver recipient, organized this campaign. More than 100 students across the country will act as torch bearers for the campaign, which began in St. John’s, Newfoundland and will finish in Nunavut.
