The Prostate Cancer Centre was established to consolidate and coordinate prostate cancer clinical care, research and education initiatives locally and regionally as part of the London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP), London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St Joseph’s Health Centre (SJHC) and our Regional Care Partners.
Research is supported through initiatives such as the Hardie Chair in Translational Prostate Cancer Research, prostate cancer prevention trials conducted at the Galleria clinic and other clinical trials conducted by the uro-oncology groups at LHSC and SJHC and the Lawson Health Research Institute at London Regional Cancer Program.
Education is provided to our care partners and community. Information on prostate cancer prevention and treatment is provided at the Galleria site as a community outreach program. The Prostate Cancer Centre and LRCP collaborate on patient education through prostate cancer support groups, prostate cancer awareness week and web based resources.
The Prostate Cancer Centre is supported in its efforts by community volunteers working with the London Health Sciences Foundation.
