Thames Valley Benefit Evaluation

ISAN is responsible for the Benefit Evaluation (BE) component of the Thames Valley Digital Imaging Initiative. The BE deliverable is based on two components; a set of quantitative indicators designed to measure the benefits and the economic impact of being part of a shared PACS network, and an web-based survey administered to physicians and radiologists. St. Joseph Health Care London (SJHC) is the Canadian pilot site for the survey, which was tested in October. The survey was administered to the remaining Thames Valley hospitals in February 2006. The final data submission for Thames Valley’s BE Process occurred in March 2006. ISAN worked closely with GE Health Care to coordinate the transition from the BE data collection process to that of the GE Dashboard. The “Dashboard” is a collaborative, peer-reviewed tool designed to support departmental goals and objectives and assist managers in administering their programs.
