Dr. M. Sen

Dr. SenDr. Sen received her MD from the University of Calgary after completing her undergraduate BSc(Hon) degree from Queen’s University. She completed her Internal Medicine training at the University of Calgary in 1998. She did fellowships in Respirology, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. She is certified in Canada and the United States in her specialties. She was the recipient of the Dr Cameron Gray Award from the Ontario Thoracic Society in 2000. During her training, she worked with Dr Jim Lewis in basic science research studying lung injury. After a clinical scholar year, she started on faculty in 2003 at the University of Western Ontario. Her major research interests include ventilator-associated lung injury and sleep research in the intensive care unit. She has received peer-reviewed grants for her research. She has an interest in medical education and is the Coordinator for Junior Resident Education for the Critical Care Trauma Centre (CCTC). She is presently a consultant for Respirology, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine at the London Health Sciences Centre and St Joseph’s Health Centre in London, ON.
