Community Advisory Council

The LHSC Community Advisory Council (CAC) was established following a motion at the 2009 Annual General Meeting. The purpose of the Community Advisory Council is to provide community input and perspectives to inform LHSC planning and improve patient care experiences at LHSC. The council serves in an advisory capacity, making recommendations on matters that impact the experience of patients and families at LHSC. The CAC brings together individuals with a variety of experiences with LHSC to:

  • Provide feedback on, and ideas for, initiatives and programs that enhance, ensure and embrace the model of patient-centred care;
  • Be a collaborative, positive and rational force for the enhancement of high-quality and patient-centred care at LHSC; and
  • Advance patient engagement and patient-centred care principles and practices at LHSC.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Community Advisory Council, please contact Cathy Cuylle (email: or phone: 519-685-8500 ext. 77517).
