Have you experienced delays in delivery of factor or care for your bleeding disorder?

 

The Bleeding Disorders Program of Southwestern Ontario is planning to conduct research that will explore if and where along the clinical pathway delays are occurring from the time a bleeding event occurs to the time appropriate treatment is obtained.

 

We welcome all members of the Bleeding Disorders Program to participate in this study.

 

This research study will be used to evaluate the timeliness of care after you experience a bleeding event. We hope that this study will be an important first step in improving quality of care by identifying areas in need of change.

 

Voluntary participation in the study involves completion of a brief Patient Diary during/following any bleeding events requiring either home infusion or an Emergency Room visit. As well, the event will be followed up by a phone call by the BDP Advanced Practice Nurse, Lori Laudenbach.
