When to Contact Us

Contact the nurse case manager should the person with CF be experiencing any of the following symptoms:

Chest Related Symptoms:

• Significantly increased or decreased cough
• Shortness of breath
• Colour change to sputum (i.e. green, brown)
• Coughing up blood (new/worse)
• Chest pain when coughing/breathing

General Symptoms:

• Fever
• Decreased appetite
• Loose stools, abdominal pain

The nurse case manager is available Monday to Friday. Should there be concerns after hours, please go to your local emergency department or contact the respirologist on call.
