Clomiphene Challenge Test

The clomiphene challenge test is a blood test used to assess if the ovarian reserve is compromised. For the test, clomiphene (2 tablets of 100 mg each) is administered for 5 consecutives days, starting on day 5 of the cycle. A blood test is done on day 3 and day 10 (one day after the last pill). Elevated levels of FSH on day 3 and/or day 10 indicate scarce ovarian reserve.
