Social Work Services
Social Workers provide emotional support, advocacy and informational services to patients and their families. They help patients and families adjust to the challenges brought on by illness, hospitalization and treatment.
Social Workers provide information about the hospital system, supports available in the community and at home. They can work with you and your family to access the appropriate services.
Social Workers can also help patients and families to:
- communicate with the medical teams,
- make decisions about treatment and care,
- help with your discharge planning.
