You can get a lot of information in the Patient and Family Library. You may borrow books, videos and cassette tapes. The on-line catalogue lists materials available for loan from the library. Free pamphlets and newsletters are available on many topics. You can also use the computer in the library to access the Internet or to use cancer related CD-ROMS.
Volunteers staff the library Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The library has information about your type of cancer, the treatment you are having and how to deal with the changes cancer has made in your life. If you are going to have radiation therapy or chemotherapy, you should watch the ten-minute video on the different types of treatment.
The Library is located on LRCP Level 1, by the stairs and the Radiation Therapy waiting room.
