What is Chemotherapy?

Chemotherapy uses drugs to treat cancer. Your Oncologist and Nurse will give you information about your chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy Teaching Class
Whenever possible, you will be scheduled into a chemotherapy class before you begin treatment. The class is 45 minutes long and is offered on different days during the week. You will learn what to expect during treatment, how to manage side effects and how to care for yourself while on chemotherapy. We encourage you to ask questions and talk about your concerns during this class. Please bring a family member or friend with you. During this class, also be given a book called “Chemotherapy” to take home.  Please ask your doctor or nurse how to register for this class.
