Who: For any PEPP client who has questions or concerns about their use of drugs or alcohol. Two members of staff facilitate this group, and sometimes a peer volunteer participates as well.
What: The Alcohol and Drug Discussion Group (A.D.D.) provides PEPP clients with the opportunity to talk freely with their peers and group facilitators about their substance use and to share a light lunch together. The objective is to encourage open dialogue - abstinence is not essential. However, we ask that participants do not use substances before or during the group.
Where: In the PEPP Kitchen/Group Room
When: The group is held each week on Friday afternoons between 1:00-2:30pm. If clients wish they can participate in meal preparations which start at noon. Registration is not necessary, and attendance is flexible. It is up to the client to decide what fits their needs. However, we do ask that participants plan on spending the full hour and a half with the group.
