Clinical Placement Opportunities

As a teaching facility LHSC welcomes nursing students for clinical learning experiences. In partnership with University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College we provide clinical learning opportunities for nursing students within the Collaborative BScN, Compressed Time Frame BScN and Practical Nursing programs. In addition, based upon the availability of appropriate preceptors and the existence of an affiliation agreement between our organization and other educational facilities we accommodate:

• Basic students in their Pre-Graduate Practicum
• Post RN, BScN students
• Graduate students
• RN and RPN students in continuing education programs.

If you are considering a preceptored nursing experience at LHSC we invite you to explore the clinical program descriptions to determine what clinical area may best match your interests and career goals.

Nursing Clinical Placement Requests:

Students enrolled in nursing educational programs other than those offered by the University of Western Ontario or Fanshawe College, please have your Placement Coordinator contact Student Affairs

Note: For Integrative Practicum (January - April), out-of-town consolidation requests will be considered after the UWO/Fanshawe students have been placed. All efforts will be made to confirm placement requests by the beginning of December.
