Do
I have to participate?
No.
Participation in this program is entirely voluntary.
We are providing opportunities for you to enhance
your job and career related skills in order to prepare
you to apply for leadership positions in the future.
Who is eligible?
- Any
present Senior, Coordinator, or Manager.
- Any
one who during their Performance Development
meeting has expressed an interest in progressing
into a leadership position.
I must participate in continuing education
for the CMLTO. Is the program in addition to that
requirement?
No.
We know how busy you are and want to make this as
easy as possible. The requirements of the certificate
will fulfill the College of Medical Technologists
of Ontario professional practice Quality Assurance
Program Option A as long as you use a cycle of 30 hours per calendar year.

Yes.

The application form allows us to know who is participating
in the program.
Once accepted what must I do to achieve the requirements
of the program?

Once I complete the program will I automatically
be promoted?
No.
As positions become open the normal posting and
interview process will occur. This certificate will
provide job and career skills that should give you
an advantage in the interview process.
What are the costs associated with achieving
the Leadership Development Program Certificate of
Accomplishment?
All
course costs will be reimbursed by LLSG by following
the procedure in the Travel and Training Policy.
Can I apply to have other courses I have
taken evaluated for equivalency?
No.
Equivalency with other organizations or courses
has not been established and therefore will not
apply for this program.
Can I apply to have previous committee work
apply?
No.
New committee work will give the opportunity to
apply newly learned skills.
What happens if the stated courses are not
available?
Alternate
courses will be identified and substituted.
Once I complete the program, will a certificate
of accomplishment be automatically presented to
me?
No.
You must apply for the certificate and provide an
activity log including documented proof of participation.
