Minimum Volume   0.3 ml    Preferred  1.5 ml
If minimum requirements are not met we cannot repeat the analysis to confirm results if needed.

Use only isopropyl alcohol swabs to clean the puncture site.

Collect blood into a 100 x 16 mm green top lithium heparnized stoppered Vacutainer.

Gently mix, then centrifuge.

Do not use Sure-Sep or any other serum separator.

Transfer the plasma, using a polyethylene transfer pipette into a 7 mL Sarstedt polypropylene tube.

Mix the remaining red cells by vortexing, and pour all of the sample into another 7 mL Sarstedt polypropylene tube.

Store at 4^oC until mailing.
