Electron Microscopy carries an average annual case load of more than 600 specimens with major sources being the renal, transplant and neuropathology services where ultrastructural assessment of tissue specimens is frequently necessary for diagnosis. The division also services the E.M. needs of several regional hospitals as well as providing expertise in ultrastructural examinations for local researchers.
Pending renovation of the Pathology Laboratories at LHSC-UH, the E.M. facility is housed at the South Street Hospital in Rm. 35 of the Health Services Building. |
