The merged Departments of Pathology at LHSC process approximately 50,000 surgical tissue specimens each year.  The proficient coordination of consultant, technical, mechanical and scheduling aspects is critical to the functioning of the various clinical services and patient care.

This is the largest Departmental Division and it provides expertise in diagnosis and tissue analysis that impacts on health care delivery, resident/graduate and undergraduate training and a wide range of research.
