St. Joseph's Hospital Urgent Care Centre Opens

London, Ontario - St. Joseph's Health Care, London officially opens the city's first Urgent Care Centre with a ceremony and photo opportunity on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 10:00 am. The event takes place at St. Joseph's Hospital on the ramp at the corner of Grosvenor and Wellington streets.

The Urgent Care Centre is a new health service to treat non-life threatening illnesses and injuries, such as scrapes, cuts, sprains, broken bones, earaches, fevers, coughs and colds. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days per week.

As of February 15, there are three emergency departments in the City of London:

  • University Campus Emergency Department, Windermere Road and Perth Drive
  • South Street Campus Emergency Department, 255 South Street
  • Children's Emergency Department at Victoria Campus, Commissioners & Wellington Roads
