Mental Health Care presentation at LHSC
(LONDON, Ontario) London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) invites the media to attend the latest installment in the "Get with the Program" series highlighting patient care programs at the hospital. This month's presentation is about the Mental Health Program at LHSC.
Speakers will focus on the adult and pediatric mental health care provided by LHSC, along with current research projects. Although statistics show that 1 in 5 people have some type of mental health problem, there are numerous effective interventions, and many patients respond well to treatment and experience a full recovery.
The presentation will also include a patient who will share her own personal trauma and how LHSC's Traumatic Stress Service helped her deal with post-traumatic stress disorder and get her life back.
