Take Our Kids To Work Day at LHSC
Grade 9 students to focus on health care jobs at London's largest employer

(LONDON, Ontario) Hundreds of Grade 9 students in London will get a first hand look at future job prospects in health care when they gather at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) for Take Our Kids To Work Day. LHSC is London's largest employer with approximately 8,000 employees and Take Our Kids To Work Day is an opportunity to showcase the numerous job opportunities and professions in health care in addition to nursing and medicine.

LHSC is expecting 250 students who will be across all three sites of LHSC for the morning and will tour different areas of the hospital; Emergency Department, Cardiology, Pharmacy Services, Laboratory Services, Radiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Food Services, and Bio-Medical Engineering, Sterile Processing and Distribution.

LHSC has participated in the national annual event since it began in 1994.

The student tours will take place at each of LHSC's three sites, and the media is invited to attend
the event at LHSC's University Campus.

Time: 8:30 a.m.
(Students will be in the auditorium from
8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and will then proceed to tour different areas of the hospital until 11:30 a.m.)
