London Health Sciences Centre is committed to recognizing and celebrating leadership in our organization. A true leader is a pioneer who challenges the status quo to produce useful change, achieving results that improve the organization and inspire confidence and commitment. LHSC is looking to recognize staff and volunteers who demonstrate leadership capabilities — both formal and informal — that make a significant difference to the effectiveness of the organization. Please note that physicians are not eligible for this award category and should instead be nominated for the President's Award for Physician Leadership.
The Selection Committee will assess the nominations based on the following criteria:
- Inspires confidence, enthusiasm and buy-in from others
The nominee has a leadership presence and displays interpersonal sensitivity
- Actively nurtures growth and development of others
The nominee leads effectively through developing others and holding self and others accountable
- Is respected by peers for leading or growing a change initiative
The nominee displays influence and impact, visionary leadership and a strategic orientation
- Achieves results that improve the organization
The nominee demonstrates those leadership competencies that are required to get the job done including a service, quality and safety orientation; results orientation, building strategic partnerships
- Motivates and enables people towards a vision
The nominee provides inspiration, clarity and direction through a compelling vision of the future
All staff and volunteers of LHSC, Lawson Health Research Institute (on LHSC payroll), London Health Sciences Foundation and Children's Health Foundation with at least one year of continuous service are eligible for this award.
