A variety of transplant announcements and special events, organized by the Multi-Organ Transplant Program and various community groups, occur throughout the year.

Upcoming Community Events

29th Annual Fashion Show, Sunday, April 7

The Daughters of Penelope are hosting their 29th Annual Fashion Show with this year’s proceeds benefitting our Multi-Organ Transplant Program. Held at the Hellenic Community Centre, the event includes a plated dinner and fashion show as well as shopping, door prizes, and raffle. This is a family-friendly event with models and clothing for all ages, genders, and sizes.
Location: Hellenic Community Centre, 133 Southdale Road West, London
Doors open:  4:00 pm
Dinner: 5:00 pm

Transplant Trot, Saturday, April 27

Organized by the Canadian Transplant Association, Transplant Trot is an annual event in memory of Leslie Petter. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 27 in Gibbons Park, London. Participants can select the 5k run, 3k walk, or a 1k kids’ trot. Early bird registration fee is $25 (until March 31), then $30 until event day. The fee includes the walk/run as well as food and refreshments. There will be medals for the top finishers as well as draw prizes. New Canvas of Life, Tuesday, April 30

This is the Multi-Organ Transplant Program’s only fundraiser. This year’s New Canvas of Life, presented by McKenzie Lake Lawyers, will feature an online art auction as well as a concert by JUNO-nominee Royal Wood and his band. For further details, visit the event’s website where you can also purchase premium floor seats or balcony seats. Proceeds this year will help purchase a FibroScan Liver Monitor machine as well as help support transplant research education.   

World Transplant Games, August 17-24, 2019:

The next World Transplant Games will be held in Newcastle, Gateshead, UK from August 17-24, 2019. For more information, visit the World Transplant Games website.

Our e-store is a not-for-profit initiative with all proceeds from sales going towards further promotion of organ donation and transplantation. As well as clothing (jackets, t-shirts, ball cap), we have lots of accessories, such as notecards, Christmas tree ornaments, water bottles, mugs, and license plate holder. London Transplant Gift of Life Association: Looking for volunteers

This organization welcomes new volunteers to help spread the word about organ donation. Anyone who is interested in helping is invited to join. The group is also welcoming Western and Fanshawe students to their student chapter. High school students can gain volunteer hours by taking part in events.
