The Holiday Food Drive and Mitten Campaign at London Health Sciences Centre is now underway until Dec. 16. Our community continues to benefit from the generosity of LHSC staff and physicians as we collect non-perishable food items, and new or gently used mittens, scarves, gloves and hats for children. LHSC is proud to partner with the London Food Bank and the Children’s Aid Society of London & Middlesex.
While the holidays are busy, it can be all too easy to get wrapped up in the getting rather than the giving.
Sherri Simms, a spokesperson for Children’s Aid Society says that even small donations can make a big difference in the lives of others.
“There are many children and families in our community in need, even for something as simple as a pair of mittens to keep their hands warm! Please give generously,” says Simms.
Patients, visitors, and members of the community are invited to drop off their donations to the collection boxes located at:
- University Hospital - main floor lobby
- Victoria Hospital - outside Faye’s Café (level 3, zone D elevators), zone B atrium (Level 1) and zone E at the Tim Hortons (Level 2)
