Supporters sign The Pledge online during the community launch presentation.
The Pledge to End Bullying is a community-wide initiative that seeks to raise the public consciousness about bullying – in schools, at work and at home. On October 31, London Health Sciences Centre was proud to host the local community launch of The Pledge in partnership with CTV London.
Acting President and CEO Murray Glendining welcomed community members and staff to the presentation which featured remarks from Laura Elliott, Thames Valley District School Board director of Education; Bill Tucker, former TVDSB director of Education; Anne MacMeekin, Unifor Local 88 Human Rights, Employment Equity Representative; and Don Mumford, Regional Vice President - Radio and Television Operations. The Pledge committee co-chairs, Mandi Fields, Community Relations Coordinator, CTV London and Windsor; and Julie Maltby, TVDSB Public Affairs Officer invited all in attendance to take The Pledge online during the launch.
LHSC is committed to creating a safe and respectful work environment for all employees. Visit The Pledge online to learn more about bullying awareness and prevention, and take the pledge yourself!
