London Health Sciences Centre was pleased to participate in the City of London’s “Thought Leader Speaker Series” on September 12, taking part in a discussion on the transformation of health care in our city.
Along with Sandra Coleman, CEO of the South West Community Care Access Centre, and City Manager Art Zuidema, Murray Glendining, LHSC’s executive vice president of corporate services and clinical support, discussed why there is an increasing need to transform the health-care system, and how that transformation will take the commitment of a variety of partners across the city.
The health-care industry is a vital part of the community in London. Having strong health-care organizations is good for the city, and a strong city is important for health care organization. Glendining and Coleman discussed how stronger partnerships will be the way of the future for health care in London.
This Speaker Series provides an opportunity for interested individuals from community organizations to learn from idea leaders in our city. These events provide an occasion to network and develop stronger inter-organizational connections while also stimulating dialogue and discussion about shared issues.
