LHSC welcomes first baby of 2020

London’s first baby of the New Year is little Landen Douglas Hammond, born at 1 am and weighing 7lbs 6oz. Mom Robin and dad Ryan were excited for baby Landen’s arrival as he is their first child, and is also the first grandchild on both sides of the family.

To welcome the first baby of 2020, the pharmacist-owners of London and area Shoppers Drug Mart stores have generously donated a large gift basket for mom and Landen.

Shoppers Drug Mart has proudly served London and the surrounding region for more than 25 years. As a part of their ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of women in their community, the pharmacist-owners and staff of Shoppers Drug Mart stores are pleased to welcome the first baby of the New Year to London.

London Health Sciences Centre and London Health Sciences Foundation would like to thank Shoppers Drug Mart for their generous donation of the gift basket.

In addition to the Shoppers Drug Mart gift basket, Children's Health Foundation included a baby onesie and a teddy bear, and London Health Sciences Foundation contributed a handcrafted baby blanket for the first-born baby of the New Year.

LHSC welcomes over 6,000 newborns each year.
