Yesterday the United Way Elgin Middlesex honoured London Health Sciences Centre with their ChangeMaker award for Outstanding Workplace Campaign Team, Large Workplace.

This award is presented in recognition of LHSC’s 2020 internal United Way Campaign that raised a record-high total of $156,203 in support of the local community. This marked an 8% growth from LHSC’s previous year’s donation, symbolizing our organization’s culture of giving and caring that flourished despite the tremendous professional and personal challenges being experienced by the people of LHSC and our extended community.

While bestowed upon the entire organization, this ChangeMaker award truly belongs to LHSC’s United Way Campaign Committee – our very own #ChangeMakers – whose tireless efforts and commitment to improving their community were the driving force for this achievement.

Congratulations to each member of LHSC’s United Way Campaign Committee, including this year’s Sponsored Employee Lisa Joworski, as well as campaign co-chairs Tim Rice and Nadia Facca, who virtually accepted the award on LHSC’s behalf.
