Physiotherapists are regulated healthcare professionals with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
In the Renal Program, physiotherapists focus on enhancing and restoring physical movement. The physiotherapist will meet with you on a one to one basis to establish a plan that looks at weakness, pain and exercise potential. Physiotherapists also assist with analyzing a person’s fall risk related to balance or walking deficits. Physiotherapists can refer you to a community healthcare professional to assist with mobility issues in your home.
