ALS PCS Version 4.3 Refresher

Important Note: On July 12, 2017, the Minstry of Health & Long-Term Care released a new version of the ALS PCS. Please be advised that version 4.0.1 has replaced by version 4.3. The ALS PCS version 4.3 will come into force on Monday July 17, 2017.

Course Description: We promised you a refresher and that’s exactly what we have developed. Below are resources to help refresh your knowledge and practice of the changes reflected in the ALS PCS 4.3 which come into force on July 17, 2017.

The material below includes:

Podcasts: Short, 2-15 minute audio clips or videos (videos include images for visual learners) by a Prehospital Care Specialist and a Local Medical Director/EMS Fellow that covers how your practice as a Paramedic will change as a result of the changes to the ALS PCS.

Summary of Changes: 1-2 page documents that walk you through each medical directive that was changed, why the change was made and how it affects your practice. These documents also provide links to additional resources.

Presentation: The presentation includes a few extra notes/details that are not covered in the material below. It is intended to enhance the use of the podcasts and summary documents and not replace them.
