Rates
Quarterly rates for CLIs are calculated using the following formula:
| total # of ICU related blood stream infections after 48 hours of central line placement | X 1000 |
| total # of central line days for ICU patients 18 years and older |
Numbers
The numbers represent the number of central line infections associated with the hospital in the reported time period.
*South Street Hospital is exempt from this public reporting indicator, as no ICU exists at this site.
