Absenteeism

Absenteeism

In a year-to-year comparison of March 2008/2009 vs. March 2007/2008, we find a slight increase in the average number of days lost per eligible employee. While some employee groups are trending up, other groups are trending down.

The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) average is based upon annual information gathered on an April to March year.

In the 2007-2008 OHA Absence Survey, 117 organizations participated ranging from large teaching hospitals to small community hospitals, as well as other health care facilities such as addiction and mental health.
