London Health Sciences Centre celebrates its people

Over 1,000 honoured with Service Awards

LONDON, ON – Last evening, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) honoured over one thousand talented staff members, researchers and physicians for achieving service milestones.

Collectively representing almost 20,000 years of service, LHSC recognized the extraordinary people who work at the organization providing excellence in patient care, teaching and research every day. They are the individuals who have helped shape the LHSC tradition of caring and innovation.

“A hospital is about buildings and equipment, care is about people,” says Bonnie Adamson, President and CEO of London Health Sciences Centre. “People are at the heart of everything we do so it is really important that we celebrate those who have served LHSC, the community and the region so well, for so long.”

There were 204 individuals who celebrated greater than a quarter of a century with LHSC – 30, 35 and 40 years, along with one individual who celebrated a remarkable 45 years of service at LHSC.

'Whether on the front lines of health care or supporting those who are, each brings skill and talent to create an exceptional experience for the patient and all those they interact with,” Adamson added.
