London Health Sciences Centre and Cancer Care Ontario announce new vice president for cancer care

(LONDON, Ontario) – Neil Johnson, an accomplished LHSC health care leader, has been named the new Vice President, Cancer Care for London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), and Regional Vice President, South West Regional Cancer Program for Cancer Care Ontario (CCO), effective April 1, 2012.

Neil Johnson is currently the Vice President, Clinical Support and Business Development and he replaces Brian Orr, PhD, who ends his tenure at LRCP on March 30, 2012.

"Neil is a health care leader who combines extensive experience in health services and management with a passion for delivering results that make a difference to patients," said Bonnie Adamson, President and CEO, London Health Sciences Centre.

A pharmacist by training, Johnson also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is a recognized leader in advancing integrated systems and has a track record of working with regional partners to develop a range of innovative programs and initiatives to improve patient care.

"Neil’s appointment follows a collaborative and robust recruitment process. It was the unanimous view of the selection committee that Neil’s qualifications and commitment made him our top candidate,” said Michael Sherar, President and CEO, Cancer Care Ontario.
