National Nursing Week May 7 - 11
(LONDON, Ontario) – This year’s national nursing week theme “Nursing - The Health of Our Nation” celebrates the important contributions nurses make to the health of patients and families across Canada.
As part of the week’s local events nurses at London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London will gather together to honour nursing practice at the 2012 Nursing Week Gala. The event, a collaboration of St. Joseph’s, LHSC, Western’s Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Fanshawe College School of Nursing and the Middlesex-London Health Unit will include the presentation of the RNAO Nursing Excellence Awards and the Excellence in Nursing Practice Award.
The gala will feature keynote speaker and holistic lifestyle coach Jeremy Tracey speaking about, “The Ripple Effect” and rejuvenating nurses passion for their profession.
