The PMDU provides an excellent variety of toys and activities for all ages to enjoy while being cared for in the PMDU. If your child has a favourite activity or stuffed toy from home it may be helpful to bring this item along with you, as this can sometimes help your child feel more comfortable during this new experience.

Preparation for Tests and Procedures

A visit to the hospital or the experience of a test/procedure can create stress for some children. PMDU has a number of trained professionals ( Child Life, Art Therapy, and Therapeutic Clown) that specialize in working with children to empower them and make their experience less stressful.
